We’re Neelam and Serena Virani, sisters who have come a long way on our own rest and wellness journeys.
Like many women, we’ve often found ourselves sacrificing rest in pursuit of professional success, caretaking, and countless other responsibilities. But hormonal shifts, stress, and burnout affect women in unique ways, making rest not just important, but essential for long-term health and well-being.
At RANI Lounge, we’re reframing rest as the foundation of women’s wellness. It’s not a luxury or a reward, it’s a necessity. We’re a company for women, by women, and we’re so excited to share products and tools that help you prioritize your well-being through the magic of rest!

Our Wellness Approach
At RANI Lounge, we believe wellness is about nurturing a lifestyle that feels good today and supports us for the long term. While we enjoy exploring new trends, our focus is on building a strong foundation with practices that are sustainable. Our core wellness pillars are consistent movement, nourishing food (with room for balanced indulgence!), and restful sleep.
We also embrace self-compassion, understanding that it’s okay if things don’t always go according to plan, and acknowledging that while we can do a lot, we can’t do everything. Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and we celebrate the beauty of crafting a routine that works for you. It’s about finding joy in the small steps while also pushing your boundaries to uncover your full potential.
Beyond the Brand
Get to know the founders
Neelam and Serena launched RANI Lounge in 2023, inspired by a lifelong love for cozy, matching pajama sets. With a shared passion for wellness and beautiful sleepwear, they set out to create a brand that embodies both.
We're three years apart and were both born and raised in Vancouver (Neelam's the older one even though people always think we're twins). After a few years of living between Toronto, London, and travelling the world, we've both made our way back home!
We both completed undergraduate degrees in business and began our careers in corporate—Neelam in accounting and finance before transitioning to tech, and Serena in consulting with a focus on the retail industry.
Our South Asian heritage is a very important part of our lives, and the name RANI draws from that, translating to "Queen" in Hindi and Urdu and forming part of our last name, Virani. While we were born and raised in Canada, our mum is from Pakistan, our dad is from Uganda, and both share Gujarati heritage. Our collections honor inspirational South Asian women in our lives, including our grandmas, Jena and Mary, and our aunt, Laila.
